Dynamic Auto Images, one of the largest automotive reconditioning firms in Southern California, has selected CyberianSoft to develop software that will automate the company’s paper-based systems to increase productivity and eliminate errors.
“We were growing so fast that we were in danger of being overwhelmed by paperwork,”
said Tom Miller, Dynamic Auto Images’ owner. “With 45 locations from Calabasas to
San Diego, our company processes thousands of paper invoices each week.”
“We had one employee working full time driving around Southern California picking
up the paperwork. It was becoming increasingly difficult to accurately track our
revenues or to judge productivity.”
CyberianSoft developed a system of software, PDAs, wireless printers, and bar code
scanners to automatically record each vehicle identification number (VIN) and track
the reconditioning process by individual vehicle. All information is collected digitally,
eliminating keyboard entry, reading handwritten notes, and the associated errors.
The system creates invoices for each dealer and gives a company’s headquarters visibility
into what each site and each employee is doing. Now Miller can see the revenue for
each day in addition to the overall month. He can also identity the high-revenue
locations and the company’s most productive employees on a daily basis.
“Using the new system, Dynamic Auto Images was able to eliminate all manual data
entry, saving both the labor of the data-entry clerk and the error correction, as
well as filing and storage issues associated with paper,” said Paul Maximov, founder
and president of CyberianSoft.
“More importantly, Dynamic Auto now has the information to fully understand its
revenue sources. It has also improved the efficiency of its operations.”
“This software gives us the confidence to expand,” concluded Miller of Dynamic Auto
Images. “Now, no matter how big we grow, we’ll be able to handle it.”
